Kite Flying and Marshmallows

After the tide pools we roasted marshmallows on the beach and flew our kites. Yes I hate fires and was a nervous wreck the whole time, but the kids loved to fly kites and play play play in the sand.

Tide Pools

Just down the beach from the house we rent every year are some amazing tide pools. We woke up really early (early for Dave) and hit the beach during low tide. It was such a fun morning. The kids were able to see a lot of urchins, starfish, seals, an eagle, muscles, and few dear. The tide was so low they even explored a few caves that are normally totally underwater.

Oregon 2009

After the 4th in Park City we hit Oregon in late July. It was once again and really fun year and this year the kids actually caught on to the traditions, so it was even more fun to do things with them. I loved the week of relaxation. One day we will stay for two weeks!
